Vodka sauce

Did I mention we started making vodka sauce at home? Probably the only way anyone should have vodka…

Apparently I was so excited that I couldn’t even take a picture.

This was great. Garlic and herbs (parsley, rosemary, basil), add vodka (about half a cup) and reduce. Add shrimp, then cans of tomato. We used diced tomatoes this time. While the lumpiness looks good, I don’t think I’m too into the texture of the soft tomato. Maybe I’ll try the crushed next time. Add milk. I had to add some flour to thicken…

Then serve with broccoli (optional) and add parmesan (not optional).
